My older VCR boasts "NTSC playback on a PAL tv" which it does quite happily though the new tv and video we got has problems. Putting the old video throughthe new tv (try to keep up here ;-) ) gives a full screen picture (the old tv had widescreen-esque bar) whilst trying to put an NTSC vid in the new VCR gets only a black and white playback. Strange. Anyway, to answer the question, try going to a specialist rather than your local Dixons. Bear with me for a minute here. I actually have a lot of Frucontent in those post... Originally, I was looking around for someone's phone number. I usually use four11.com, but they have been absorbed by Yahoo!. Anyway, I go through Yahoo! to find some of the other personal search sites. One of the ones that turns up is a site where someone is putting together lists of telephone exchange names. (Things like "PEnnsylvania 6-5000" and the like. Look at the site for what I'm actually talking about.) I notice that this person has a link to an old Bell Telephone listing of "Recommended Exchange Names." For my exchange (75), the names are rather boring. Things like: PLateau, PLaza, SKyline, etc... So, I look at the listing for the exchange where I work (68): MUseum, OVerland, MUtual. Ho, hum, BOring. Then I come across: MUrray. My number at work is MUrray 8-0053. I think that is so cool. :) Oh, btw, the URL: http://ourwebhome.com/TENP/TENproject.html - -- chad at radix dot net see, i told you. frucontent. ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 24 Jan 1999 00:16:04 GMT From: Srm9988n@aol.com Subject: NY pics Fruchild noted: >Im having a problem getting to that page.
