I heard that song on UMFM last week, and was trying to remember if it was the Worms, and where I had heard it before. I think they played it at the Winnipeg Folk Festival, this year or last. Originally, of course, they would say "now the Jets call me up to drive the Zamboni", but after they left it became "Now the Jets....uh..." followed by an awkward silence. Last time they played here, though, they changed it to the Moose. And the Moose are actually doing well this year. Maybe the band has a hand in this... ARGHH! I was getting very distressed by the crowd's unbelievable overall rudeness toward the band. It some ways it was worse than when I saw MF in Burlington and no one really knew who they were, mostly being there because what the heck else do you do in Burlington. That crowd was rude too, but you almost expect it. I've seen Bargainville crowds before, but usually the other songs tend to catch on to SOME people. I know the people all around me kept talking through non-Bargainville songs, much to my dismay and aggrivation. When "I Will Hold On" was announced, someone next to me commented that they had been holding on for the whole show for some bargainville songs. Someone even kept telling her friend I was a freak (although she probably didn't know I could hear her) for knowing the words to Green Eggs & Ham and the other "new" songs like IWHO and Half As Much. But anyway, on a lighter note... :) It was great to hear more new songs! I'm going to have to listen to them some more and get used to them, but they sounded great. Four new songs in one show was very overwhelming, and the audience was distracting. Jockey was also somewhat slower which was very intriguing. My personal highlight of the show, though, was Secret Agent Man! I assumed that after Get In The Car they would go into Psycho Killer and was actually hoping to hear something different, so it was a pleasant surprise. Some great banter and an overall great show. It's too bad it was wasted on a very "Give us something from Bargainville!" audience.
