Wow, interesting question! I just dreamed not too long ago that I was at a show where the lads were experimenting with multimedia, or pre-screening some kind of Hard Day's Fruvous or something. It was really odd because it seemed so contrary to what they do. Of course in the dream my girlfriend was mad at me because I was so engrossed in conversation with this cute little Fru-chick next to me (which was probably a good thing because in the dream it was my roommate's girlfriend playing the role of MY girlfriend.) Beasi" Subject: I have the BEST girlfriend in the WORLD! (yes, MF related :) ) Today is my birthday and it's been the best ever! Andrea (jkpolk) got me a Fodor's pocket guide to Toronto (Frucon II here we come!), a deluxe edition of Dr. Seuss's Green Eggs and Ham, and a Früvous hockey jersey! As if that wasn't enough, she (along with her two cohorts Aimee and Liz) managed to get all of the band to write in and sign a birthday card for me at the 10/31 show without me even finding out! I'm a very lucky guy! All I did was innocently point out that "Hot Child in the City" (from Susan T.'s cheesy 70s tape) had a really funky bass line.....yeesh! My personal favorite quote of the weekend came from Murray. At one point just prior to the proposal, there were two Rachel's on stage, and Jian was trying to figure out which one was the "proposee." So he asked one Rachel if she had a boyfriend. "No," she said archly. "And I don't have a girlfriend either!" "Hah!," intoned the Mur-man. "Hoisted on your own petard!" Jian had the grace to look embarassed. Meanwhile I was doubled over choking I was laughing so hard. Then there was Cal's reference to Zard and me reminding him of the" two old geezers in the balcony" from the Muppet Show, because we squabble so....heehee chris **** "And where would we be without a bass guitarist?" On the other hand, I personally would not feel at all okay if I just let this go by. There is nothing that infuriates me more than being arbitrarily rejected because I just happen to have the misfourtune of not being alive long enough. The worst part is that these restrictions have been slapped on me by others and I have been left absolutly no voice at all. I just wish there were some way I could do this without destroying this community which I know and love. But as it stands now, the best thing for me to do is back down.. I'm sorry for my outburst before, and I hope we can put an end to this before it starts.... Sometimes I care too much for too much for my own good....
