Oh, good. Food cupboards are one of my pet projects, because you're really helping out for very little cost, just an investment of time. (Am I the only one out there who actually cuts coupons for food items I don't even use, then waits for them to go on sale so I can donate them on the premise that they will help someone get a nutritious meal?) Thanks for letting us know this Mary. - --Lori ------------------------------ Date: 4 Nov 1998 18:09:20 GMT From: dgodwin01@aol.com (DGodwin01) Subject: RE: Hail Americans! >> Well, every candidate I voted for lost, except for one. (I live in a one-party county, and I got used to it a long time ago :( ) But that's not the point. Every losing vote is also a dissenting vote...you are sending a message to the winner that there are other views out there, and those views have a voice. You're also helping to ensure a government of, by and for more of the people. That's how I take it. Also, if you don't vote, it takes away some of your credibility when you start complaining about whatever bugs you on the political front. - -- Lori ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 04 Nov 1998 18:12:45 GMT From: nafio@my-dejanews.com Subject: Re: NoHoPhoTo Richard explained: > By the way, I understand that some of you don't know what pip pip means. > Well, of course, it means the same as toodle-oo or tinkerty tonk.
