Chris T. and I knew that it was a familiar song, and I knew it was a cover, but wasn't sure by which band. Or Band. :-) I personally like it, but a lot of the younger (under 23-ish) Frufans hadn't heard the original, and found the song rather wanting. I figured that in general, the KoP crowd would know the original, and appreciate it as an ending. That all being well and good, I'm thrilled they came out and did a Drinking Song - it was a great ending, swaying under the stars with friends. - -Zard "Veni, Vidi, Velcro" - I came, I saw, I stuck around. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 03 Aug 1998 20:18:51 GMT From: gemini@p3.net (Trace) Subject: Re: Thank You Fruvous Fans!!! I was at the Grey Eye Glance in-store in Manchester, CT tonight (great show, 2 hours!) and I was sitting in the front row with my grey Budgie Dog shirt. After a couple of songs, Dwayn (the keyboardist and primary writer), points me out and asks me if I saw them at the Maryland show. I hadn't; actually, I saw them for the first time at the Appel Farm Festival :) Anyway, during the intermission I was talking to them and Jennifer (12 string guitar and vocals) said that she thought the Früvous shows were a lot of fun! (well, duh) Anyway, they put on a magnificent performance and are very nice people, so I strongly recommend them to the FrüCommunity. See you at Summerfolk!
