Play is a great disc, unfortunately in my attempts to convert coworkers, I have lent it out and therefore do not have it to listen to while I type. :( I did, however, play live noise last night over my friend's CD rom here at work and we were rockin'! In a weekend full of highlights, I have to say that hearing this (both times) is at the top of my list. I've loved the song for a long time and it was just incredible to hear the guys do it :) > Hey, poll: pipe up if you came > from a state other than California, Texas, Michigan, Kentucky, > Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia, > DC/Maryland, North Carolina, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, or > Delaware. Can I ask why DC and Maryland are considered one entity? We are not actually directly tied to Maryland in terms of politics or economy and I still don't get to vote for anyone who has any real say in Congress. We don't (or at least I don't) want anything to do with Maryland (or Virginia) and their mudslinging politics (I'm glad that Glendening won but only because it means Sauerbrey lost). I think DC should be counted on it's own merits (I know, I know, it's questionable as to whether or not DC has any merits). I'll stop babbling now and get back to work. loren. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Am I the ear that listens or am I the melody? Well, that's my view, I'm more of a Keynesian. As for the Progressive Conservatives, you've never heard "Tory Potion #9"? Well, I guess they only did that one in Canada. They used to be a major factor nationally (one of the two main parties, the other being the centrist Liberals), with a stance roughly relative to the republicans (but still a bit left of that, as politics are shifted that way here somewhat, but increasingly less so). However, in the 1993 election, they went from a majority of the House of Commons to a paltry 2 out of 295 seats, losing official party status. They rebounded to 20 seats (exact number? help me out) in 1997, but still aren't the party they once were. In many provinces, however, (where they hgaven't had to compete with the Reform Party) theyt are still strong, and many provinces (AB, MB, ON) have Tory premiers (see "Big Fish"). We've had reports from two people who heard part or all of it. Also one of the deejays posted in advance. However, you're right, WBER got a couple of calls from Fruheads wondering when the guys were coming in on the third, so they confirmed, as you said, 4pm today.
