That was the first time I have ever seen/heard the Nields and they were great! Jess Klein was good as an opening act, but the song she sang during the show sent shivers up my spine. > It's 4am so I'm going to bed now. I'm going to the shows in Ithaca/Clinton the first week of December, and I'm wondering 2 things: 1. who's going? anyone? I may be by myself, and am just hoping to find some friendly faces. but, depending on my powers of persuasion, my brother may come with me. he is definitely NOT a fruhead, but not a fruvirgin, either, so please keep your fingers crossed that I'll have company on my long journey......... 2. I am flying into NYC, then renting a car to drive to Ithaca. can any of you new York types out there give me some kind of estimate as to how long of a drive it is from NYC to Ithaca? the distance maps I have put it at about 6 hours. accurate? I'd appreciate any help I can get. thanks a mil......... over 'n' out xoxoxo bridget (o: ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 01 Nov 1998 21:09:53 -0500 From: Amy Cartagena Subject: Fru-virgin I am a Fru-virgin about to be de-flowered. I am going to the Irving Plaza show on Nov. 10th and I absolutely can't wait! I just ordered the remaining CD's which I do not own (they're available on amazon.com) so I won't be totally ignorant for the show. Hopefully the band will hang out for the Violent Femmes show so we can party together! Hope to see fellow fru-heads there!
