Kel- I hadn't gotten around to ordering them, but thanks for reminding me! I'll either order them tonight or tomorrow (depending on if they're an open on friday night type operation or not) G'day! I thought the bradcast was a shame. It included some nice selections, but I really missed the stuff like the hippe on th post-things like that are what makes Fruvous different, and besides, the references to the hippie made little sense without the actual song.... They did include some cool banter, which I liked, but missed a lot of things that make Moxy Moxy! 6.5/10 for WXPN.... Just got my hotel res. for Motel 6. Thanks for the tip, Ceecee. When I called and asked the guy if there were any rooms left, he answered, after checking, "Miraculously, yes." So I guess there aren't too many left. And o/t for just a moment... Is anyone in the Ohio area planning on going to see Great Big Sea on 9/23 in Cleveland? I'm vacationing in Toronto that week, and what the heck, it's only another 296 miles... So we're heading over. ******************************************************************** Sharon samoq@aol.com "Know thyself? Hey there all, I'll be there too....how could I miss the show in my back yard. I was actually at the Canopy Club yesterday watching Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Interesting movie. Anyway, just to follow up a little about the venue. It's a pretty eclectic place that just recently reopened to become the Canopy Club. Before that it was the Brew and View and exclusively showed movies. What was nice about this was that you can smoke in there, and also they sell some nice alcoholic beverages out front. It was a real experience going there on a Friday night as you could get in for $2 and watch 3 movies back-to-back and watch the yourself or the patrons get drunk. Since the reopening, they theater has taken out nearly half of it's floor seating and made it look more like a club. They still show movies 4 days out of the week, yet it's not quite as it used to be. Nonetheless, I am extremely excited. I've desperately needed my FruFix for months since I saw them at the in-store they did in early June and the following day in St. Louis. Oh, some other things...I'm going to be driving to the Chicago and Bloomington(IN) shows on 10/10 and 10/16 (barring it's not 21+) so if anyone would like to roadtrip from the UIUC area....
