Out of the blue, on a whim, a wing, and a prayer, I've up and decided that the lineup at the WXPN Fest on Sunday is just too good to ignore. So I'm a-thinkin' about flying down for the day, or for a couple of days, to enjoy it in the company of some congenial Philadelphians. Here's my dilemma: I need some volunteer congenial Philadelphians for this task. Anyone up for it? I don't know Philly at all, and I'm told the public transportation is down now. If I flew in on Sunday morning (and it couldn't be any sooner, 'cause Veek and I are FruCasa'ing someone I simply will not turn down, Saturday night), could someone retrieve me from the airport and bring me along to the fest? And if so, would that someone possibly be doing the New Jersey date and be willing to let me tag along? I can take the Super Shuttle back to the airport on Monday morning or Tuesday morning (depending on whether I'd do NJ too), but I'm trying to keep this whole thing fairly low-budget and uncomplicated (since I've just quit my job and my new one doesn't start for a couple of weeks): i.e., not depleting the finances too much with renting cars or paying for hotel. So. I'm housebroken, friendly, grateful-in-advance, and endowed with a pair of hands given to expressing said friendly gratitude to the shoulders of those around me. Help? :) ceecee, who hasn't done one of these flights from her city (in both sense of the word) since skedaddling from Florida. . . ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Jul 1998 22:51:47 -0400 From: "MTKeener" Subject: Re: greetings from Alberta! >What is weird, I ordered a copy of "Live Noise" a couple of months >ago from CD Now and it arrived without a warning sticker on it. > >I just got another copy today (gift for a friend :) from CD Now, >and it had a warning sticker on it. > I have purchased four copies so far and no warnings...YAY!!! I am doing both shows. :-) Beth is providing transport, but since she has a van I don'tt hink it would be a problem squeezing you in. If you can get to Penns Landing, I can get you to my place to crash, and over to the show Monday night if you choose. I do have to work Monday, but I'm sure we can work out somehting. I think Pixel may be coming down and sharing floor space too. ladywench FruSpace - We came, we saw, we slept on the floor . . . ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 8 Jul 1998 23:09:48 -0400 From: "MTKeener" Subject: Re: pictures for fdc >... was the live version of bnl's brian wilson, which >i found to be rather amusing sandwiched in between the spice girls and the >backstreet boys, so there i was, the lone lunatic singing and dancing to bnl, >while my campers ( who are 8) pretended that they didnt know me :) > ***woooohoooo***waaaaaaaay to go!!!
