I have a couple of questions about Thomas Dolby that I'm hoping you can help me with. I tried mailing Headspace and I was re-directed here by Mr. Robertson himself! First off, I'm wondering if you know anything about the apparent disappearance of "The Golden Age Of Wireless" from music stores. It seems that even on-line stores can't order it anymore. I'm wondering if this means an imminent deluxe re-issue is in the works. My second question is about the "1981" version of "Europa And The Pirate Twins". Is it really a different version than the one on the CD? I ask because I am trying to compile a complete "Wireless" album, featuring all the tracks that ever appeared on it's various incarnations. If "Europa" is indeed different, I guess I'm going to have to purchase the 7" single. (Unless it's the version on "Retrospectacle".) Please respond soon. Thanks for your time! If anyone is in town for the Boston Film Festival, please make a note to see the short film "Get it On" if you are able... it's a comedy... from what I gather it features a geeky guy (played by my friend John :) who is practicing his pick-up lines on various women in an LA coffee shop. The festival runs Sept. 10 - 20 at the CopleyLoew's/Sony theater downtown. This is the same theater he used to work in as an usher, so it's a real kick for him to have a film of his premiering there. Anyway, I'm really proud of him, so everyone go see it if they get the chance!
