[Erik Habbinga > Very beautifully said... I couldn't agree more :) I must say that since the very start of my subscription to Alloy, I have felt so proud to associate with so many astonishingly bright, honest, funny, interesting & kind individuals. I'm honored to have been chosen to pick up where Paul has unfortunately been compelled to leave off. He's done such a beautiful job maintaining the list... he along with every one of Alloy's brilliant contributors have helped to make this list a real community. From what I've seen of some other lists, Mr Carter may sadly be correct. It's actually frightening for me to think that given the option of anonymity, so many people would choose to invent facades in order to abuse others without threat of retribution. I have found other lists (the ferret veterinary newsgroup, for one) where some very good-hearted people come to exchange ideas... but none has ever been as unique, or made me feel more at home, than Alloy. Beth, I'm glad you & Mark are getting settled. Is it beautiful out there? Congratulations on buying a house!! Robin T who would happily share that piece of stale birthday cake with you... ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Jul 1998 19:41:59 -0600 From: Erik Habbinga Subject: Re: Re: Alloy: nary a spirit can be broken @ alloy! > ------------------------------ > > Date: Sun, 19 Jul 1998 21:01:11 -0600 > From: "Keith Stansell" > Subject: Re: Alloy: nary a spirit can be broken @ alloy! > > ..and the interview went well I think, Erin is submitting me for a position > with USWest. Besides, I bought a house here so I could ride my bike to work! USWest would be a mighty long haul from Loveland...
