Yep, I have been assimilated into the world-wide operations of the
Ziff-Davis organisation. I've joined the launch team of a new information
technology newspaper called IT Week, which will launch on May 18th. Between
now and then, the whole team (and there are about 20 of us on the editorial
side right now) have a newspaper to invent from scratch. It's fun... I
think. But too many meetings, and not enough decisions, so far.

Quite a change on the office front: at my old place of work I had a fine
view of the drug-pushing trade carried out on the corner of Charing Cross
Road by the Centrepoint underpass. Now, I have a slightly classier level of
eye candy - The Tower of London, Tower Bridge, and the Thames. Okay, so I
have to get out of my seat to see the river, but I really can see the Tower
of London and a bit of the Bridge from where I sit, right now. Not bad at
all.

There are drawbacks, of course. Chief among them is that I have to use this
crappy Lotus Notes mailer. And, according to the staff handbook, I'm not
allowed to use e-mail for personal purposes. So I'm not here. And I didn't
say this.

BTW, Stephen, if you're tuned in, could you let me know if you recieved the
second attempt at paying for the T-shirt yet?

The poetic physical description provided by Tim of this football team reminded
me all too vividly of our Thomas & his own particular style, skill, strength &
beautiful manner. If you'd been here longer, Andy, you'd have learned that
since I was 15 years old I've considered Thomas to be perhaps THE most
uniquely tempting man on the planet.. it surprises me how quickly I am
transformed into a glassy-eyed drooling lust-filled space cadet when assailed
by such visual imagery as provided by Tim of this incredibly gorgeous man,
whom I also respect & admire enormously, and I don't mean to sexually harrass
him or anything, so I''ve been trying really hard to be good!  :)

Robin, if you start to lose control, just think of the real Tottenham
Hotspur of 1998, a collection of fat aging Germans, brain-dead pretty-boy
Goalkeepers, clueless cloggers, and nancy-boy wingers who spend every
season on the sick-list. They're my team, but still it isn't a pretty
sight!! And they're virtually bottom of the league!

It's your favorite outside member (or one of them at least:)

HOw is life in Alloy?

How is everyone doing with project part deux?
How did the t-shirts turn out?

Did you get my posting with the attachment?
If someone could let me know then if you didn't get anything from me I 
will re-send it.

I just wanted to drop a line to say hello & Happy Easter and ask one 
question.

I was going to go rent the "Mind's Eye" video but it's a reaal ordeal 
for me to get ahold of a VCR (ours is an extremely LOW-tech household 
these days) so could someone mail me (direct please) with some opinions 
on it and maybe some back ground information on what the project was 
about, who was involved and what it all means or whatever might be 
useful to me. I have seen the video but without sound (they used it as 
background in a bar while they played really bad pop/dance tunes 
yecccch!!)

Why are they your team, I wonder? Is it the luck of geography? They certainly
sound like they'd be amusing to watch in any case. What are the usual
requirements to become a member of a football team?
