If I must, then send me the address & I will send a photo of me.. most likely the one taken when I was at Wembley Stadium, London - trouble is there was 99,999 other people around me, so I could be hard to spot ! Better that way, quoi ? No seriously, I'll see if I can dig one out... but then again, it isn't it illegal to send offensive material through the Internet ? My face could seriously offend some folk ! You should think about contributing your photo to Paul's Alloy scrapbook page, for which I don't have the address on hand - can anyone help? Also there's a small 'hazing' question required of all Alloy members, you have to tell us about the first time you ever heard Thomas' music & how this led to your being here with us today.. :) Robin - --IMA.Boundary.105458888 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; name="RFC822 message headers" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Description: cc:Mail note part Content-Disposition: inline; filename="RFC822 message headers" Received: from ns1.baxter.com (159.198.180.56) by ccmailgw.mcgawpark.baxter.com with SMTP (IMA Internet Exchange 2.1 Enterprise) id 00330DBF; Fri, 27 Feb 98 06:27:33 - -0600 Received: from siren.shore.net (siren.shore.net [207.244.124.5]) by ns1.baxter.com (8.8.0/8.8.0) with SMTP id GAA12434 for ; Fri, 27 Feb 1998 06:40:54 - -0600 (CST) Received: from smoe.org [204.167.97.154] (root) by siren.shore.net with esmtp (Exim) id 0y8P50-0006Zz-00; Fri, 27 Feb 1998 07:39:54 -0500 Received: from localhost (daemon@localhost) by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/listq-jane) with SMTP id HAA00965; Fri, 27 Feb 1998 07:40:48 -0500 (EST) Received: by smoe.org (bulk_mailer v1.5); Fri, 27 Feb 1998 07:40:46 -0500 Received: (from majordom@localhost) by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/listq-jane) id HAA00934 for alloy-outgoing; Fri, 27 Feb 1998 07:38:26 -0500 (EST) Received: from imo15.mx.aol.com (imo15.mx.aol.com [198.81.17.37]) by smoe.org (8.8.7/8.8.7/daemon-mode-relay2) with ESMTP id HAA00929 for ; Fri, 27 Feb 1998 07:38:20 -0500 (EST) Received: from RThurF@aol.com by imo15.mx.aol.com (IMOv13.ems) id FNLFa03501 for ; Fri, 27 Feb 1998 07:35:27 -0500 (EST) From: RThurF Message-ID: Date: Fri, 27 Feb 1998 07:35:27 EST To: alloy@smoe.org Mime-Version: 1.0 Subject: Re: Alloy: Even more about John Content-type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII Content-transfer-encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: AOL 3.0 for Windows 95 sub 18 Sender: owner-alloy@smoe.org Reply-To: alloy@smoe.org X-To-Unsubscribe: Send mail to "alloy-request@smoe.org" X-To-Unsubscribe: with "unsubscribe" as the body. Stephen mentioned that the Flat Earth tour was in '84, not '83 here in the states. I need to go up to the attic and check the date on my ticket stub. (Hey, it was a long time ago!) I saw Thomas in Dallas at a small venue of about 3000 seats total. It sold out and every seat was a good one. Mine was especially good since the guard watching the gate to the floor level got bored and left. We ended up on the eigth row. I noticed that Thomas seemed to be looking right at me while singing a couple of songs. I was singing along too and kind of got the feeling he was thinking "wow, this kid knows all of my lyrics." Maybe not, but it made my night. I have followed his work since "Science" came out. Last year he did an open forum interview on America Online. I think about 1 out of every 5 questions answered was one of mine. Quite a compliment to me. I still have the print out of the whole thing. I have all of his albums or tapes or CD or whatever format it's on. The one thing I don't have is much information on other bands he has worked with. I know it's quite extensive but don't have a lot of specifics. I'm sure being in this little group is going to teach me quite a bit.
