(thomas, please tour again!, and come to alabama!) the performance was flawless, but it seemed alot of tape, was used. now i'm not a musician, but it seemed the layering on his stuff is so deep, how could you mimic that without some "assistance. best memory of the concert to me was that he did i scare myslef, my fav tmdr song!!! and the trombone guy did some serious adlibbing on it! very very cool!! oh well, going back to my lurker hole now!!! mark ps not advertising, as few are you are in my neck of the woods, but if ya got the time, look at my websitewould love to have constructive criticism. www.procatav.com thanks! I bought it shortly after catching his show on the AAMB tour. Of course, I got it on vinyl (d'oh!), since I still did not have a CD player on time. Sadly, that version is missing "May the Cube Be With You." So I really should pick up that import, which CDnow does currently offer. >> ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 4 Jan 1998 14:27:49 -0700 From: dalexander@juno.com (Dennis S. I forgot I told Robin my birthdate in private. I also told her I don't do birthdays (for religious reasons), BUT. . . anyway. Thanks. It's the thought that counts. You know, If I did celebrate my birthday, it would be like an all day party. "Birthday party at 1:59PM (the last one of the year) and stick around till midnight for the New Years Party (bring presents!)" I also don't do New Years as well. Yep, this was the big 30 for me. It didn't hit me till I went to the doctors office and I had to write my date of birth on a form and I realized, 'wait . . . I've been an "adult" for the last 10 years . . . what have I done? I wrote some music that I havn't finished, yet alone compiled or anything. I created a nice BIG debt for my self (credit cards, don't ask how big, it would scare you) I got a nice collection of CD's, a very nice home studio but that's it. I think it's time to make a change. A BIG one. . . Thanks Slarv, I hope to have many 'anniversaries' around the sun. (I assume that's Boddies?) >Happy Birthday JAMac! May this year be your best to date! >/\/\iles And to everyone else, thanks as well. By the way, I recently bit the bullet and got my own URL. Check it out at www.dennisa.com. After you see it, yeah, I'm a bit of an entrepeneur. And I'll resist pushing my business here (might get kicked out!) Tell me what you think of it. I wrote most of it, so I hope it looks good. Why did I do it? Well, I'm sick and tired of being in debt, so I am running a few home-based businesses as well as working full-time. That's my first BIG step in changing my life. I may have to drop off this list for awhile. This is going to be one of the busiest years of my life (all for good), but I still intend on participating in the 'music/other media' project. I have most of my tapes for the tape swap duped (just need a couple more) and it will be in the mail (post). I havn't contributed recently as I'm trying to catch up on some things before the slavery begins (my new job). So, in case you don't hear from me anymore, I'm off redesigning my life. Don't worry, I will still be around and hopefully, back someday. JAMac - (Dennis S. I bought my tape more than a decade ago at regular prices. Then I found AAMB on the internet about a year ago, but I don't remember the URL. Someone at the FES pointed the way. I think what's happening is that the record company takes various albums that had certain types of succes, and pulls them so as to make them more expensive; ie: imports. JAMac - (Dennis S.
