I always used to beg for their snacks. Once, they inserted a roach in between the gut of a french fry and gave it to me to chew upon without my knowledge....I curbed my ways and never again saw any of my friends laugh so loudly on the ground. > Why did you alter your name? Well doll, I thought I was being original. It turns out that someone in Cyberland had already takened the nick "Electric." I couldn't create a personal e-mail address with it. So I had to bow out and add an "x" at the end to have MY WAY and my own "fun" mailbox. Why did I choose "x"? I figured, one of these days I would go through all the letters in the alphabet. "x" is for when I am feeling sexy, "a" as in "electria" is when I am feeling "gay," "electrio" is like when I feel schizoid and there are three of me, "electril" like.... when I am feeling thrillingly sassy...get the picture? (BIG SMILE). Sweet dreams Robin! electria ..but you can call me electrio, or you can call me electrix, or you could call me electric...(as he wanders of into the sunset and his "handle" but becomes a wind in a whisper). ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 9 Sep 1997 15:18:11 -0400 (EDT) From: crackers@hwcn.org Subject: Alloy: My Hands Are Washed Of The Matter Well gang, my official involvement in Project B-day is now at an end. Corrections have been made to the J-card, they've been printed (I printed 40, which should be more than enough) and they've been sent to Ian along with my submission (Incidently Electrix, he recieved your submission and rather liked it. Infact he tells me he's quite impressed with the quality and uniqueness of all the submissions so far). Now, if you want to submit a song but didn't get on the dibbs list, go ahead and do so (but do it fast or you won't get on at all). You won't be on the J-card, but we'll include an addendum to credit those who submitted late (or you can mention in your birthday greeting which song you did). Well, nothing left for me to do now but wait. It's been a lot of fun putting this project together. I can't wait to see what the final product is like. Even though Thomas knows what his birthday present is, I'm sure that he'll still be pleasently suprised with the unique way in which his many fans interpret his works. You are to be applauded. I only wish I had had more knowledge and could have participated in the project. We late-comers are sort of at a disadvantage. I can only add this. From my dealings with Thomas Dolby I can just say that he is quite the man and is most generous with his time. I do admire him. At 73 I am certainly receiving an education at the PHD level. However I am in the 4th grade and I find it difficult to keep up with all of the jargon. It seems that all of your have been friends and have communicated with one another in the past, and for a long time. Oh to be young again and just atarting out! It has been quite an experience. I regret that I have not done more with the project. You are a good group. I lurk in the shadows and seldom participate. But I still can't understand your humor or jargon. Ha! But I am a fuddy duddy. Now who of you know what this ol' duffer just said? Ha! Good luck to all. May TD have the best Birthday ever.
