Tilson" <71160.307@CompuServe.COM> Subject: Alloy: Alloy t-shirt Hi folks, Hasn't been much action on the t-shirt issue in a few days, and I'm getting antsy to finish up. Lem has graciously provided us with a few ideas, and others have made noises about following suit. The time is nigh - if you're going to participate in this phase of the project, please do so, shall we say, before June 11. Deadlines are made to be broken, of course. So if you have extenuating circumstances please so state, and I'll bide my time a bit more. I would like to suggest that future submissions focus on the fact that this is an ALLOY shirt, meant as much to honor Paul Baily and his creation, as it is to amuse our friends and confound our enemies. No offense, Lem, but I feel very strongly that the FES idea should be discarded, or at the least the text "FES" deleted, maybe we could keep the map as indicative of the global nature of our group. Flame on if you wish. Your designs are great, really. I certainly am graphically challenged, compared to yourself, and am in no way downplaying the importance of your offerings. In fact I suspect we are all checking out your work and saying to ourselves, "Well, so much for my idea!" I know I have been reluctant to post anything to the artwork.html page as anything I have come up with so far would be eclipsed by the brilliance of your contributions. Nevertheless I will take the plunge and offer, herewith, a very humble textual idea, sorry - no groovy colors, as my concept of the original idea. I am actually rather embarrassed at it's sparseness. But maybe this will encourage others to contribute, since now they won't have to worry about being the class dunce. I'm elected, wearing the cap, and standing in the corner with my face to the wall . . . I pray we are all well, and in good spirits. Sincerely, /\/\iles P.S. All I can find is the laser-disk version, and good lord, I can't spend $1,000 on a player for it! I don't even know anyone who has a laserdisk player. The future seems to bode ill for those of us without inflated entertainment budgets. It makes me worry. I know a bootlegger of videos, but I would prefer to do this legally & hope that the real talent get at least some of the proceeds. Thanks for any suggestions!
