It's about time they showed it! It's a pretty amusing show. I guess I'm also one of those people that like little facts here and there. At the first time I saw this show, I thought "She Blinded Me With Science" would be a perfect pick for this type of show. Thanks for the info Elaine! Oh yeah, TMDR was a bartender in Howard the Duck, not Rockula. - -Phil ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 8 May 1997 16:15:23 -0400 (EDT) From: MsSakamoto@aol.com Subject: Re: Alloy: Homepages, all? Mine's not in too good of shape right now, but that's because I haven't had much time or experience in making one. The thing I like about uniforms and trenchcoats on men is that they are well-cut, to show off specifics of the male figure. The most important thing about any clothing is how it looks on a real live person in motion. The uniform/trenchcoat thing does work well for women too, accentuating shoulders, waist, and draping the silhouette to provide grace and drama. (I personally like wearing men's coats because they are so much better made than women's. A good men's coat will last years, but a women's in the same price range is only designed to last one season! But that's beside the point. . .) My idea of a cool man to be with doesn't fit the "danger Boy" description previously put forth by Miles - the fearless, swaggering, gun-slinging, t'baccy chewing, macho, walking hormone. Mysteriously enough, glasses are a big turn-on for me. Yes, SPECS will always grab my attention. Then intelligence and kindness. . .and an underlying INTENSITY to their personality is vitally important. But first is always specs, without fail. Go figure. Melissa, I'm never demure either. Quiet in public, yes. . .pondering unified field theory, or wondering where the hell did I leave my rail pass, or thinking I really should take a course in bookkeeping sometime, or how am I ever going to finish two baby quilts by my friends' due dates. . .but NEVER demure. My father-in law thinks I'm a dangerous freak because I dont know "my place" in life and I'm far too spontaneous, and he doesn't understand why I laugh so often whenever we discuss all my shortcomings. OH WELL. Robin :) ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V2 #80 **************************
