For those who may not have seen the original post, the file is a capture of one frame from the Europa QT Video that is on FES. It has been converted to BMP format, suitable for tiling as your desktop background. Since it just went up a short while ago, it obviously isn't available yet. Keep your eyes open, though - who knows when they'll post it? ;-) // Lee Jackson // ljackson@intex.net // Garland, TX ------------------------------ From: Russell Milliner Date: Thu, 18 Jul 1996 17:53:17 -0400 Subject: Re: Alloy: I like this biography thing . . . I guess I'll join in and be a follower and send out my bio thing. Greetings and Felicitations, My name is Russell Milliner. I live in Orlando, FL. I am currently finishing up a degree in Computer Science at the University of Central Florida. I am 24, and married. I don't have a particular Dolby favorite, because it all depends on my mood. I have an extensive collection of TMDR items including: posters for TGAOW, Flat Earth, AAMB, and one of just Dolby, most records cds and tapes that he has put out, produced or guest appeared(Fallout Club to Mind's Eye to The Dark Eye), and some concert stuff from AAMB tour. Many of the musical items I have are not on Lazlo's list, maybe I should send him a list? I saw Thomas in concert at Janus Landing in St. Petersburg, FL in 1988. And had the pleasure of sneaking into the balcony early to catch the warm-up. Also after the concert I met him for an autograph and picture/w him. It was definitely the best concert I have seen. I have been navigating the net since 1990 when I was introduced to it at UF. I am a Web Site developer. My current job is enhancing an ARMY site called STRICOM. My personal site leaves much to be desired due to time restrictions. I am attempting to create a pictoral site of TMDR over the ages, but my limited access to scanning, and video capture equipment is limited. My first experience hearing Thomas was, as many, on MTV. After purchasing the album, I discovered that there was more depth in his music than I had initially realized. Several albums later, I still do not attempt to guess what Thomas will create next. Kudos to Thomas and all that he has done, also kudos to his wife who puts up with him. If I did have to pick a song to hear in a perfect concert it would be a solo, something like Airwave or W.W.9. Which brings me to the question what does W.W.9 stand for? (for those not familiar with the song it is a synth piece on Bruce Wooley and the Camera Club w/TMDR on synth) Well anyway...I hope you have enjoyed riding on my train of thought, and I hope you will come again! - -Russell Milliner http://www.iag.net/~milliner "And at that moment I thought of Dan Quale?", Thomas Dolby ------------------------------ From: "Lazlo Nibble" Date: Thu, 18 Jul 1996 16:19:41 -0600 (MDT) Subject: Re: Alloy: I like this biography thing . . . > I have an extensive collection of TMDR items including: posters for > TGAOW, Flat Earth, AAMB, and one of just Dolby, most records cds and > tapes that he has put out, produced or guest appeared(Fallout Club to > Mind's Eye to The Dark Eye), and some concert stuff from AAMB tour. I'm also cataloging more than musical items -- authorized T-shirts, promotional displays and posters, and other goodies are also fair game. - -- ::: Lazlo (lazlo@swcp.com; http://www.swcp.com/lazlo) ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V1 #25 **************************
