Hmm, well, perhaps the guitar version (GV) was recorded first (and I suppose we'll have to defer to TMDR for confirmation, as I've never seen it stated either way), but the synth version (SV) was released first, on the first UK release of Wireless. BTW, it is the GV that features Lene Lovich, with her "Try to think of nothing" mantra. The SV features the high-pitched voice of Akiko Yono, who is the wife of Ryuichi Sakamoto ("Good Heavens...!") > The original RS Rocks, and is hard to come by. True on both counts!
