Thank you so much for your thoughtful sharing of Rochelle's letter and your intensely personal response. Rochelle really did put into words some of the thoughts that I have had many times.. and I appreciate (along with all us Alloyed, I'm sure) your decision to express yourself and give us all some insight into your feelings regarding the music that we all enjoy so much. I also played music professionally for 10 years.. and though I never managed to shape the music, musicians and image into the right moment.. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I played. However.. there came a time when I "burnt out" on the entire scene.. and felt that the chances of greater success were not in my favor. I stopped playing and turned to a career in television and film production.. where I have been fortunate to continue working creatively while not being forced to get the musician's most dreaded nightmare.. the "9 to 5" job. Recently.. after moving to Los Angeles.. and after 8 years of playing very little music for various reasons.. I brought my old Les Paul out of its case and started strumming. It was a great feeling. And since then have enjoyed playing daily once again. I guess I have expressed all this to let you know that I personally understand your decision to develop something that you feel is a greater challenge. And I know that to create success at anything it takes complete concentration, dedication, blood, sweat and tears. However.. that having been said.. it was so wonderful to hear of your desire to once again play your music. It was quite moving. I really don't have words to describe the feeling that went through me as I read of your mini- concert for your friends. What an incredible experience that must have been.. for you .. and for them. My heartfelt best wishes on your continued success with Headspace.. and the sooner the better.. so you can find a moment to create some more of your wonderfully original music. And so we can all listen... listen.. listen.. Ciao for now.. It's currently in .wav format, is that all right? Yes and yes. Will saying "Pretty please with sugar on" help? ;) Robyn @ Robyn Moore @ http://www.alveus.com/kbrm/robyn.html @ You knew the job was dangerous when you took it. - S.C. ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V3 #279 ***************************
