Even though I've lived here almost a year, I didn't get that either. That may be due to the fact that until last week, we couldn't get South Park here near the real South Park (there really is an area considered South Park). But now we have it, so I can watch. For those who can't get it on your cable system, here is a link with real-video of episodes you can download and watch. http://ultra.simplenet.com/ultrasp/ I don't think the page has the below mentioned Barbara episode. I'm sure it is on the internet somewhere. Thanks for the explanation. As it happens we DO get South Park on cable over here. I think I've seen twenty seconds of it while channel surfing, but I'll try to remember to watch a whole episode this week. I think it's fairly new over here, so maybe the Streisand/Smith episode hasn't been aired here yet. Slarv ------------------------------ Date: Sun, 26 Apr 1998 19:32:52 -0400 From: "Mary A. It couldn't be better suited for me - an Illinois native (wahoo, eh Melissa? Homestate boy makes good) who attended my alma mater and is a big Cubs fan piloting the craft, scientists who are doing work I understand, and a women up there to boot. I'm having a little problem with the experiments though...First of all, with that rotating chair: was this a not-so-subtle way for the Europeans to tell us to "sit on it and spin, you lousy North Americans!"? And what's up with the oyster toadfish? Stephen says it sounds like a creation from the Genetic Engineering Ranch mad scientist from South Park ("Here's an oyster crossed with a toad and a fish"). Actually, I was pretty proud of myself that I made an educated guess as to what they were for. And I keep waiting for one of the astronauts to grab a bar of Ivory soap and yell, "It's my ice cream bar! You can't have it!" (That one was for you, BC) And lastly, with my geography skills not being the greatest, I'm really confused by Payload Bay. What coastline is that on? :-) (Would someone please walk me to my car? Oh, thank you!) Reading the recent posts of Live Wireless brought back some wonderful memories for me, especially of my 21st birthday when my best friend gave it to me, despite her being broke and me not having a VCR. It has become Stephen's quest for the Holy Grail to find it on laserdisc so I beseech those world travelers on the list, such as Melissa or Lem, that if you ever find yourself in Japan, would you pop into a shop or two to look for it, pretty please? I just know Radio Wireless is gathering dust in some store in Tokyo... I sincerely hope that this week is a better one for Dabbitt, E(lipse, Robyn and everyone else on the list!
