     Hello all..
     
     I regret buying two disks, mainly,
     
     a) White Town - "Women in Technology"; bought it on the strength of 
     "Your Woman", the rest is awful. I suspect that I'm not the only one 
     to have fallen into this trap.
     
     b) Scorpions - "Crazy World"; bought on the strength of "Wind of 
     Change" the rest is a dirge of dreadful heavy metal clichés. Should 
     have known better, I guess. 
     
     On the subject of misheard Dolby lyrics, there is a bit in "Cloudburst 
     on Shingle Street" which sounds like "I'm in a cock in the ocean, I'm 
     rubbing in the North Sea".

Nothing was mentioned of plans for a more permanent reunion, and unlike other
"80's" bands that have obviously been gearing up for a comeback via live shows
in the Los Angeles area (ie.  Bow Wow Wow, Missing Persons, Flock of 'Gulls),
Men At Work haven't performed live since.  I was hoping that perhaps the new
material performed might be a hint at something upcoming, but then "Topanga"
was released and it seems that Colin is perfectly happy continuing with his
solo ventures.

"Topanga", by the way, so named for the area in Los Angeles where Colin lives
(lived?) during the time he recorded the album, and also where he would (rumor
has it) often perform solo and acoustic to small daytime audiences.
Interesting, no?

to all Alloy members!!!!

Well, hey, even if I had, you'd still probably be right, I'd just be the
only woman on the planet crazy enough... but actually I was referring to
the fact that in a past life I was a young mail chicken who fell
overboard one stormy night.. no, the memories are still too painful, I

To which I must reply: 

that project I sense Thomas is working on - I was innocently referring to
Headspace, and all that it must entail. 
The longed-for 'one-night-only' gig may be a one nighter for the audience, but
it would most likely be a somewhat major organizational wrestling match for
Thomas, as he seems to strive for perfection when it comes to his music &
would want things to be just right for his audience to enjoy. 
I still like the 'phone marauder' approach to performing. He wouldn't even
have to put down his coffee, or abandon the comfort of his swivel-chair!
