Though I will have to find some good fabric to make a skirt to wear with it in summertime. A print with scientific equipment all over it perhaps?? Or Man Ray images? If anyone sees this I beg you to tell me where! Again, THANK YOU!!!!!! to everyone involved in the t-shirts' design and production. I'm so excited to finally get to wear mine soon :) Robin ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 28 Jan 1998 11:19:04 -0800 (PST) From: Brian Clayton Subject: Re: Alloy: virtual reality On Tue, 27 Jan 1998, Beth Meyer wrote: > >With these modeling synths, all you have to do is plug in the physical > >properties and dimentions of these instruments and viola! instant > >synthetic copy! > > OK, was this an intentional pun or a Freudian slip? The misspelling of "voila" is one of those little annoyances of mine, just as the constant misuse of "it's" for "its" is...so much so, in fact, that when someone deliberately said "viola" on Mystery Science Theater a few weeks back, I laughed much harder than the pun probably deserved. Unfortunately, my little way of = checking whether the apostrophe is necessary, i.e. can you insert the wor= d = "hers" and still have the sentence make sense, won't even help some folks= = because I've actually seen the use of "her's"! Brian, I guess you and I = are = are the last of the True Pedantics... Hmm, not sure how yours works...I say, if you use "it's", replace it with "it is" and see if it still sounds right. > And now for something completely Dolby: ! > After viewing Live Wireless again after a long absence, I was reminded of some > unanswered questions.
