I thought we were on the INSIDE scoop on what TMDR's up to. I'm really upset about this. Thomas! Hey yeah I'm talkin to you! C'mon let us know when you're going to do something like this! We'd really like to know! Anyway, hope the week went well, if you've got any good stories to tell about the show, please share. Sigh.. I'm really upset about this. I've written and grumbled about this before. I am pretty surprised that, when there is a core group of very loyal fans here on Alloy, no one from Thomas' organization gives us a heads up on this stuff. It's very disappointing. The suggestion that I offered to the ether was that, perhaps, someone from Thomas' staff could zap us a one-liner when TMDR gives a lecture/presentation/whatever, so that we might get the opportunity to enjoy the talents of a artist whom we so respect. Disappointing. Really. Back to work... - -- Melissa Melissa R. Jordan Associate Director Goodwill Global Inc. I find it difficult to believe this happened without ONE of us hearing about it. How did you come to discover this, Stephen? Was it a friend- of-a-friend-told-me thing, or is it documented somewhere? I can't believe I missed that. And normally I'm a regular Letterman watcher too! Paul Shaffer's mother died recently and they had someone fill in for him for a week. But the day I watched it wasn't Thomas, so was this a fill in for another time? They also had someone fill in for Paul when he was off filming Blues Brothers 2000. Hearing about NOT having been told about the TV appearance really felt like a slap in the face. But someone tell me first, is it true? Was he really subbing for Paul S. for a whole week without having anyone tell us about it? I now feel like crap, so I hope someone clears this up soon. I'm an AOLer, and I'd be happy to help look into this once I know details about the dates. ??Robin ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V3 #13 **************************
