An analysis of this? Well, mixing synthesizers with pub rock (and poetry) will give you Dolby (in the vinyls case :). That is so sweet Melissa,....Just watch out,...I might take you up on that,...but not soon, as the next couple of months are filled up with little things like my up coming wedding(s),..(we're doing it twice,...once in the UK & Once here in Finland,......ARRGGHH! In the meantime, Juha and I are quite sure that the submarine that was missing in the song was not Finnish, no matter that it was in the baltic, because Finland, I think, only has one submarine, if that, which is the size of (with all respect) an overgrown potato, if I remember rightly. So I guess the song must have been about a Russian sub or something. I'm rambling again,... Love to all! Lissu the incorrigible >Melissa, that would have been fun! Maybe I should set up in the bathroom and stuff my cello with washcloths. . .I didn't think I was THAT bad. . . But I do sense some shreds of taste in this woman, when I play Dolby I hear some crashing around in her place, which I assume is dancing. So I >guess the song must have been about a Russian sub or something. I have a Nick Kershaw cd (some greatest hits thang that I bought and listened to two or three tracks on.) I was reshelfing (reshelving?) it last night, and I noticed that one of the songs is called "One Of Our Fruit Machines Is Missing." Ha. Ha ha. I was too tired to listen to it, though. I am amused, regardless, and this morning, you can only imagine the strange mix of words and music going through my head. Getting trip anxiety. Back to The Pit of Doom (tm.) Hope you'll enjoy the stay! Many, many thanks - I'm hoping that the White Nights will have started by the time I get to St. Pete. Last time I made it there for the "show," one of my colleagues came banging at my hotel room door at about 2 in the morning, toting a couple of cans of Diet Coke and a big bag of popcorn (utterly un-Russian!!!) We walked the block and a half to the Neva River, and watched all the drawbridges go up, and the parade of boat traffic pass through. Very cool. Well, I'll raise a glass of that bottled water in your direction, too! Cheers, Melissa - ----------------------------------------- Melissa R.
