Date: Mon, 20 Jan 1997 09:16:38 From: Neil Leacy My own comments about Miles Davis and just watching an episode of the Muppets Tonight has made me think... Now Miles could have taken Screen Kiss or Cruel and weaved his magic on them I'm sure as he was never one to shy from interpreting well known tunes in his own inimitable way (i.e. do a cover version) but alas that won't be. However, I've just seen the Muppets doing a very funny version of 'She Blinded Me With Science' and it made me think who else has covered a TMDR song and what did TMDR think of it? A classic in the making. :-) I'd also like to add an impossability(sp?) but one I'd always hoped for... TMDR and Miles Davis (just imagine that horn over Screen Kiss). Okay, I'll take the opportunity to come out of hiding. ;) Which episode was this (ie: who was the guest)? I think I've got them all on tape, but haven't watched them all yet. According to something I heard on VH1 a while back, John Popper of Blues Traveller fame got invited into his first band when he was heard walking down a school hallway playing 'Science' on the harmonica. I don't know if it ever got recorded, but it sounds like something that'd have to be heard to be believed. :) Robyn @ Robyn Moore @ http://www.hevanet.com/kbrm/robyn.html @ You knew the job was dangerous when you took it. - S.C. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 20 Jan 1997 19:57:18 -0800 From: "Kevin & Robyn (Brott & Moore)" Subject: Re: Alloy: Stir fry. I'm sure there're others, but they seem to be flying below radar range right now. :) Robyn @ Robyn Moore @ http://www.hevanet.com/kbrm/robyn.html @ You knew the job was dangerous when you took it. - S.C. ------------------------------ End of alloy-digest V2 #14 **************************
