I had seen Dylan twice before, and had not been real impressed. Matter of fact, I walked out in the middle of the last show I attended (Atlanta '98). But his latest record was so strong I resolved to see him, plus he was playing in my hometown of Greenville, SC. It was a sensational performance. Of course, no interaction with the crowd, just fine performances by Bob & his band. I got a copy of the show, and it just confirms what I thought about what a fine show it was, especially "All Along The Watchtower". Another awesome show I saw was Little Feat, also in Greenville. Those dudes are no spring chickens either, but between Billy Payne, Paul Barrere, Fred Tackett, Kenny Gradney, Ritchie Hayward they are masters of their craft and on top of the game. Sure I miss Lowell & what he brought to the party, but they're still a lot of fun and they played for two and a half solid hours. Great work ethic, and this was a semi-small club so the atmosphere was very intimate. I love new bands, but it's still great when my long-time favorites kick ass!
