A lackluster record, a VERY lackluster performance It's too bad you never saw him play on Delaney & Bonnie's tour, but his work on that tour is immortalized in the live album. Check it out, as well has his performances with the Yardbirds, Cream and John Mayall--even Derek & the Dominos, which came much later. Yes Clapton relaxed a lot when he went solo, but still some of his performances at his annual Royal Albert Hall concerts are worth the airfare. At the top of his game, Clapton was and is simply one of the great blues guitarists of all time. ****************************************************************************** ****************** The only reason I would take up exercising is so that I could hear heavy breathing again. ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 28 Jan 2002 14:48:48 EST From: SCJoniGuy@aol.com Subject: Re: R&R: No claps for Clapton > It's too bad you never saw him play on Delaney & Bonnie's tour, but his work on that tour is immortalized in the live album.> Yeah, he did have the talent, no doubt about it...reminds me of every report card I ever got with my teachers telling me I wasn't working up to my potential! :~) Bob NP: The Doors, "End Of The Night" ------------------------------ End of 50s60s70s-digest V1 #15 ******************************
